New bright yet budget-conscious commercial-grade projector launched by Digital Projection

Digital Projection International (DPI), an EmmyA® Award-winning manufacturer of high-performance projection systems, announces the E-Vision WXGA 6500, a new addition to the company’s popular E-Vision series. DPI’s existing high-brightness, high-value E-Vision projection line has seen continued success within the corporate AV and house of worship communities, and the new 7,000 lumen 6500 display further diversifies the options within. The E-Vision WXGA 6500 enlists the same wide array of lens options, user swappable color wheels and advanced color controls that have made the E-Vision 7000 an integral AV solution. With an MSRP of $4,995 plus lens, the new E-Vision WXGA 6500 will commence shipping in March, 2014.

The E-Vision 6500 delivers a compelling imaging solution for lecture halls, conference venues, houses of worship, corporate auditoriums and boardrooms, digital signage, and any other application needing bright, accurate imagery at a remarkably accessible price point. With a chassis weight of less than 46 pounds, the powerful yet lightweight dual-lamp E-Vision 6500 utilizes the latest in Texas Instruments’ dark metal DLPâ„¢ technology. Similar to the E-Vision 7000, the 6500 delivers core 3D functionality. Unlike DPI’s existing E-Vision 7000 displays, the E-Vision WXGA 6500 is housed in a sleek, streamlined and easily installed plastic cabinet.

DPI originally launched the E-Vision series of displays at InfoComm 2011, and has aggressively moved to expand the series to enable even more applications. Years of success in high ambient light commercial venues and houses of worship ensure the newly-launched E-Vision WXGA 6500 will continue the expansion of the E-Vision series throughout a wide variety of medium-large screen applications. A variety of fixed and zoom lens options give the E-Vision WXGA 6500 a flexible throw ratio range of .8:1 – 8.74:1. Two swappable color wheels allow the integrator or the end user to easily select and install the color wheel that provides the best balance of lumens and color depth to complement their application objectives and venue lighting conditions.
