New E-Vision LASER 4K-UHD Displays 7,500 Lumens of Incredible Detail with Dependable & Maintenance-free Laser Technology

Bright, colorful 4k-UHD imagery with Digital Projection’s Laser-Phosphor technology presents a superb value for medium & large venues

ATLANTA, GA – June 12, 2017 – Digital Projection International(DPI), an Emmy® Award-winning manufacturer of high-performance projection and fine-pitch LED video wall systems, brings 4K-UHD imagery to their renowned E-Vision series for Ultra High-Definition at an incredible value. The new E-Vision LASER 4K-UHD, powered by Texas Instruments DLPTMtechnology, produces a powerful 7,500 lumens through DP’s solid-state laser phosphor illumination for a solution that is as bright & detailed as it is dependable. For applications that demand more expansive contrast performance, the E-Vision LASER 4k-UHD is available in a high-contrast version, boasting an incredible 18,000:1 contrast ratio while still producing 4,700 lumens.

While demand for 4K imagery is rapidly increasing, many applications must meet budgetary limitations. Digital Projection answers that challenge with their first single-chip, 4K-UHD projector. The new E-Vision LASER 4K-UHD offer users the most detailed and vivid imagery available from a single-chip DLP projector. To provide optimized solutions to serve a wide range of applications, DP developed two versions of their E-Vision LASER 4K-UHD projector. The high-brightness model produces 7,500 lumens for venues featuring larger screens or with less control over ambient light. For environments with less ambient light that demand incredible dynamic range, the E-Vision LASER 4K-UHD HC (high contrast), boosts the contrast ratio to a staggering 18,000:1, while still producing 4700 lumens. This maximizes the on-screen dynamic range of any displayed content.

With dependability and low maintenance inherent in their design, Digital Projection’s LASER projectors provide the lowest cost of ownership as a result of the laser illumination system’s extensive 20,000-hour life-span. With no lamps to replace or expensive maintenance costs to endure, the end-user saves money over time and never needs to worry about the possibility of lamp failure. Adding to the cost of ownership and dependability benefits, DP’s laser projectors can be oriented in nearly any position for unsurpassed installation flexibility. This allows DPI’s customers to place rich, large-scale imagery in practically any venue and on any projection surface, without sacrificing projector performance, reliability or image quality.

Other capabilities of the E-Vision 4K-UHD include built-in edge blend, 3D source compatibility, HDBaseT® connectivity, and a DICOM Simulation Mode for medical imaging.

The E-Vision LASER 4K-UHD packs in a full list of features including:

  • 7,500 Lumens (4,700 High Contrast model)
  • 4K-UHD resolution
  • 10,000:1 Contrast (High Brightness Model, with Dynamic Black)
  • 18,000:1 Contrast (High Contrast Model, with Dynamic Black)
  • Built-in Edge Blend capability
  • Projector Control Software
  • 3D capability
  • Geometry correction
  • Nearly limitless mechanical projector orientation
  • A selection of 8 high-performance lenses with motorized focus, zoom & shift
  • Intelligent lens memory
  • DICOM simulation mode
  • Displayport (1.2), DVI & HDMI inputs
  • HDBaseT® interface via CAT5e/6 LAN cable
  • Crestron RoomView® Connected
  • Unbeatable Cost of Ownership

Like all E-Vision series projectors, the E-Vision 4K-UHD is complemented by a broad range of high-performance projection lenses. The lens suite provides motorized zoom, focus, and image shift across throw ratios as short as .38:1 and as long as 8.0:1. For applications requiring large imagery without the traditional projection light path, the E-Vision LASER 4K-UHD can be paired with DP’s recently launched 0.38:1 Ultra Short Throw (UST) lens. Combining this projector with the UST lens enables users to create 4K-UHD images from 7’ to 24’ wide without requiring the throw distance normally associated with traditional projection lenses.

From simulation, visualization, commercial & elite home cinema to DICOM medical applications, the E-Vision LASER 4K-UHD offers a wide range of capabilities for those seeking a dependable 4K solution at a lower cost / higher value.

The E-Vision Laser 4K-UHD will be shipping Q3 in North America and will be displayed in Digital Projection’s booth #3443 at InfoComm 2017 in Orlando Florida, from June 14 – 16, 2017.
