Discover Video today announced a high-density, low delay live video “IPTV” streaming encoder system for enterprise networks.
The SCORPION IPTV appliance is a dedicated multichannel audio/video live streaming encoder system. The SCORPION is available as a stand-alone single channel unit or can be configured as a rack system supporting up to 8 channels in a 19 inch 1 RU chassis. Each encoder supports HDMI video and 3.5 mm analog audio input, and H264/AAC-LC encoding and streaming RTMP/RTSP/HLS/UDP up to 1920x1080p. Each encoder has its own Ethernet connection to help reduce potential bandwidth issues and eliminates a single point of failure.
“We have developed the new IPTV-8 encoder appliances for schools, businesses, and government agencies that are on a tight budget yet need live high-quality HD streaming and flexibility.” said Rich Mavrogeanes, Discover Video’s CEO. “It is ideal for the delivery of conventional television in any enterprise and for any organization that needs to securely broadcast multiple video channels 24/7 while economizing bandwidth.”

• Independent IP Ethernet ports
• HD video streams up to 1080p
