With over 2.6 million panels installed in the U.S. to date, 2GIG is again set to change the home security and automation landscape with the new GC3. The 2GIG GC3 is a highly intuitive 7” all-in-one security and home control touchscreen panel that provides home security, manages up to 232 smart home devices, features robust user customization options, affords mobile security and safety alerts and brings unprecedented update capabilities.
The GC3 offers the state-of-the-art connectivity needed to start building a smart home system, including 3G and CDMA Cellular modules, integrated Z-Wave 500 Series, and more. The thinnest panel on the market today, the GC3 is a sleek 7” capacitive touchscreen panel with a new GUI designed for intuitive user control. The GC3 will be Z-Wave Plus Certified and acts as a smart home hub to support up to 232 connected home devices including GoControl® thermostats, light bulbs, light switches, alongside other popular Z-Wave products such as door locks for maximum smart home capabilities. Plus, 2GIG is professionally installed and connects with services that enable a home to be professionally monitored and controlled by the user from anywhere using smart device or browser.
The GC3 combines security and smart home control to give homeowners a completely scalable solution that grows with their needs and can provide security and automation for a variety of home sizes. New “Rooms” and “Bookmark” custom features allow users to group frequently used smart home controls on to one screen for quick access. The “Bookmark” button feature specifically allows the user to create a customized default home screen for the particular room. The GC3 also comes with key fobs to quickly and easily arm/disarm the system.
One-touch system arming makes leaving the house effortless. Once you’re away, the connectivity within GC3 means your whole home can be accessed wherever you are from your smartphone or tablet. Combining monitored security and smart home devices means you’re armed with the ability to manage and react to any alerts, as well as make real-time adjustments to the temperature, door locks, lighting, and safety of your home. Mobile alerts allow you to quickly respond to a home security or fire alarm, a safety alert such as smoke or CO2 detection, motion sensing, home entry from a door lock, or any number of other notifications you have customized.
Built with modularity and future-proofing in mind, the 2GIG GC3 panel was architected using a patent-pending CellSled design, an accessible slot on the side of the touchscreen panel that allows users or dealers to pop out the old radio and upgrade to new technology (SEE VIDEO). The panel can receive updates over-the-air (OTA) via cellular connection or a USB port on the top of the panel also allows the system to expand features and deliver software updates onsite.
The highly anticipated GC3 panel is packed with best-of industry features including a new patent-pending resonant audio chamber design which allows for the clearest two-way voice communication, 24-hour battery back-up and five-day weather forecasts and alerts.
