On-Stage has released the new MBS-LP1 Low-Profile Broadcast Boom Arm, a versatile desktop miking solution that provides quiet, quick and easy mic placement for recording podcasts and broadcasting webcasts and live streams. Extending from below instead of above, this style of boom arm reduces visual obstruction for end users and their viewers. A camera-mount adapter is included and the boom arm can also be used to support other threaded accessories such as phone and tablet holders. The 5/8-inch-27-threaded stem on the upper shaft is compatible with most mic clips and shock mounts, making it easy to set up dynamic and condenser microphones. Positioning a mic just right is also easy, as the lower and upper shafts both swivel 360 degrees, while the upper shaft adjusts in angle from straight up to fully horizontal. Plus, the angle of the mounting stem is also adjustable.
