On-Stage’s New DB100 DI Box Allows Seamless Playing of Digital Audio Through P.A.

The unit removes noise and ground loops that occur when using consumer audio devices with a P.A. system.

The Music People, a division of Jam Industries USA, LLC, and parent company of On-Stage and TMP-Pro, has debuted On-Stage’s new DB100 Laptop DI Box, which eliminates noise and ground loops that often occur when using consumer audio devices with a P.A. system.

Users can simply connect the DB100 Laptop DI Box’s 3.5-mm plug into the headphone jack of a laptop or digital music player, and the compact DI will automatically convert the audio signal to a balanced, mic-level XLR output suitable for use with high-powered amplifiers.

A volume knob enables additional adjustment of the output level, while a ground-lift switch provides control over hum caused by ground loops. Passive and transformer based, the DB100 doesn’t use a power supply and delivers electrical isolation for convenient, reliable sound preservation.

“There are few things more disruptive to a live performance than hum and unwanted noises caused by using an audio device with a P.A. The new DB100 DI Box completely eliminates this threat for a worry-free performance,” said Christopher Roberts, On-Stage Product Line Manager.
