Osprey Video Technology to Drive Partner Streaming Demos at IBC2024, Highlighting Low Latency and Remote Collaboration

Osprey Video
IBC2024 Show Preview
Sept. 13-16
Various Partner Stands

At IBC2024, Osprey Video’s encoding/decoding technology will be on display at several partner stands, where it will power real-time, ultralow-latency video streaming use cases. These demonstrations will highlight the efficiency and effectiveness of Osprey Video’s technology in various settings, including live sports and M&E. Attendees will see how Osprey’s solutions can enhance interactivity, engagement, and remote collaboration while unlocking new revenue streams.

Delivering 4K Video to the Masses With Subsecond Latency
Dolby Laboratories Stand 3.B60

In this IBC2024 demonstration, Osprey Video’s Talon 4K encoder will deliver streams easily, efficiently, and securely to the Dolby Millicast platform. The demonstration will illustrate how WHIP integration can deliver high-quality live streams in under 500 milliseconds to increase interactivity and engagement — unlocking new revenue opportunities in live sports as well as media and entertainment verticals.

Osprey Video Encoders Delivering SRT Feeds to Avid Media Composer
Avid Stand 7.B59

At IBC2024 on the Avid stand, Osprey Video’s quad-channel Flex encoder will deliver SRT feeds to Avid MediaCentral l Stream for use with Avid Media Composer or to Avid MediaCentral l Cloud UX for IP contribution into Avid production environments via SRT. Osprey’s video decoders are also compatible with Media Composer when employing review and approval and over-the-shoulder workflows. They can accept SRT output of Media Composer directly or through the Haivision SRT Gateway for high-quality remote video review and collaboration without boundaries. Users can easily monitor on-prem by ingesting SRT into an Osprey desktop or multichannel decoder and delivering SDI or HDMI outputs.

Broadcast-Grade WebRTC
Ceeblue Stand 5.D54

In a demonstration at IBC2024, Ceeblue will run a live stream from its stand using an Osprey Video Talon 4K-SC encoder with the new Universal WHIP feature introduced in the latest Osprey firmware. This advanced workflow supports a wide range of H.264 profiles, including Baseline, Main, High, High 10, as well as High 4:2:2 8-bit and 10-bit profiles using WHIP, ensuring optimal video quality for real-time broadcast applications.

Optimizing Video Assets in Remote Production Workflows
Zixi Stand 5.A85

In the Zixi Partner Village at IBC2024, visitors will see how Osprey Video encoders combine with Zixi and Red5 to deliver content to Blackbird’s cloud-native editing and publishing platform. The showcase will emphasize the efficient and powerful methods by which remote production workflows can optimize video assets, both live and on demand. This collaboration underscores the potential for enhanced remote production capabilities, offering a robust solution for modern video production challenges.
