Panasonic Connect Projection Technology to Illuminate BLINK® Cincinnati

Panasonic Connect will serve as the leading projector partner of the country’s largest light, art, and projection mapping experience

Newark, NJ | September 19, 2024Panasonic Connect North America today announced a collaboration with BLINK, the Cincinnati public art spectacle taking place from October 17–20, 2024 across Cincinnati and into Northern Kentucky. As the exhibition’s leading projector partner, Panasonic projectors will power the projection mapping portion of the art experience.

Returning for its fourth exhibition, BLINK, illuminated by ArtsWave, will transform the streets of Cincinnati into a dynamic public art display. Panasonic’s PT-RQ35KU 30,000lm 4K 3-Chip DLP™ Projector and PT-RQ25KU 20,000lm 4K 3-Chip DLP™ Projector will convert iconic buildings, such as the historic Cincinnati Music Hall, into canvases for engaging art. A free event, the festival gives attendees the opportunity to explore some of the world’s most cutting-edge art.

BLINK not only offers a visual spectacle but also serves as a strong economic driver for the region. The 2022 event attracted 2.1 million attendees from 29 different states, contributing $126 million in direct economic impact for the Cincinnati region.

“We’re proud to partner with such a unique art experience that attracts visitors and artists from around the world to celebrate the combined power of art and technology,” said Brian Duffy, Strategic Account Manager of Live Entertainment at Panasonic Connect. “The future of entertainment experiences will be increasingly immersive and transformative. For a moment, the city itself can turn into a canvas for digital artists to display their work and share their vision with the world. What better way to experience art than by watching it come to life on a historic building?”

This collaboration underscores Panasonic Connect’s dedication to artistic endeavors that push the boundaries of traditional art forms. By integrating advanced projection technology, the company is helping to elevate the way audiences interact with and experience art on a grand scale.

“BLINK is excited to once again return the nation’s largest public art event to the streets of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky this October 17-20,” said Justin Brookhart of BLINK. “Powering a truly immersive experience like this one requires the highest quality visual technology. We’re happy to partner with Panasonic Connect to help bring our vision to life.”
