RCF has announced the latest improvements to the Subwoofer Series active subwoofer line with the new SUB 702-AS II, an ultra-compact and powerful active bass reflex subwoofer. The SUB 702-AS II is equipped with a 12″ high power woofer with a 2.5″ voice coil, powered by a 1400-watt digital amplifier in a robust plywood housing with deep and punchy tuning for a powerfull low frequency response.
Thanks to the built-in digital stereo crossover DSP with adjustable crossover frequency, it can be easily and quickly set up as a sub-satellite speaker system. Controls include volume, EQ, phase and crossover. The SUB 702-AS II perfectly matches 8″, 10″ or 12″ two-way cabinets from RCF including the ART 3, ART 7 and D-Line Series.
The new high power 12″ woofer is the result of the latest refinement in years of RCF experience in compact active subwoofer design and manufacture, providing a fast and controlled reproduction of the bass frequency range. The birch plywood enclosure is coated with black, heavy duty, textured epoxy. The front is protected by a strong, powder coated, metal grille. The cabinet features a 35 mm pole mount socket and two comfortable recessed handles. At 39 pounds and compact size (19″x14″x19.5″) and achieving 129 dB max SPL, these attributes make it the perfect tool to increase the low-end performance in a variety of situations, including portable and installled audio-visual systems, live sound, small theaters and house of worship applications.
