SUDBURY, Mass. — Jan. 24, 2017 — Revolabs(R), Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Yamaha Corporation, today announced that Philip Stanley, Revolabs’ Northern Europe regional sales manager, will lead a special instructional ISE 2017 session as part of the Standing Conference for Heads of Media Services (SCHOMS) U.K. Higher Education Hosted Buyer Programme, Feb. 8 at 4 p.m. in rooms G001/G002 at RAI Amsterdam. During this 30-minute discussion, held in collaboration with SCHOMS, the professional body of technology managers working within U.K. higher education, technology managers will learn about the role videoconferencing technology will play in the future of education.
“Skype for business and similar technologies have enabled new ways for people to communicate remotely with each other,” said Stanley. “This has changed etiquette and expectations, which is driving IT to look for new ways to meet student and educator demands. In this session, attendees will learn strategies for creating successful collaborative environments.”
The presentation will focus specifically on the growing prevalence of rapidly changing remote learning and mixed remote learning environments. Stanley will examine how technology has influenced the user expectation and demand for environments that enable highly productive multimodal interaction — regardless of the location of the educators and students. He will provide examples of cost-effective solutions that allow media services managers to meet these requirements without creating manageability headaches for often over-stretched AV/IT departments. A brief Q&A will follow the event.
With 15 years of sales experience in the U.K. audiovisual market, Stanley specializes in bringing new technologies into the education and corporate space. He is well known within the education arena, providing pre- and post-sales support and technology training to enable successful audio integration in both remote and traditional education applications.
