RTI and Pro Control to Offer Manufacturing Training Sessions at CEDIA EXPO 2013

SHAKOPEE, Minn. — Sept. 12, 2013 — Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI) today announced that the company will be offering three manufacturing training sessions at CEDIA EXPO 2013 in Denver. Courses will include “Two-Way Programming With Integration Designer,” “Programming the RTiPanel, ” and “Driver Development With the RTI SDK.” In addition, RTI’s Pro Control brand will hold its own separate training session at the show: “Introduction to Pro Control.” All courses will take place on Sept. 27.

Pro Control will present “Introduction to Pro Control” (course code MPT1083) from 9 to 10:30 a.m. By attending the course, dealers will learn more about the Pro Control brand, receive an introduction to its powerful line of value-added solutions for automated control, and see the easy-to-use Pro Control Studio programming software in action.

“Check out our ‘Introduction to Pro Control’ training and see just how quick and easy it is to program a powerful control system including wireless remotes, smart phones, and tablets using Pro Control Suite,” said Mike Everett, General Manager of Pro Control.

“For our dealers attending CEDIA, RTI’s three comprehensive training sessions provide a convenient opportunity to further their education. Whether it’s programming seamless two-way functionality, enabling control from a mobile device, or even creating their own two-way drivers, attending these courses will help them provide the ultimate user experience for their customers,” said Pete Baker, vice president of sales and marketing for RTI.

Taking place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., “Two-Way Programming With Integration Designer” (course code MPT1084) will provide an overview of two-way compatible products, device drivers, and transport options. Demonstrations using RTI’s award-winning Integration Designer(R) programming software will include driver commands, variables, system flags, two-way specific graphics, and driver events.

From 1 to 2:30 p.m., “Programming the RTiPanel” (course code MPT1085) will highlight RTI’s award-winning RTiPanel app. Attendees will learn how to program Apple(R) and Android(TM) smartphones and tablets for control over all systems in residential and commercial applications. For integrators looking to write their own RTI two-way drivers, RTI will offer “Driver Development With the RTI SDK” (course code MPT1086) from 3 to 4:30 p.m. The course will explore RTI’s Software Development Kit — what it includes, how it’s used, and where dealers can get it — and will close with a Q&A session.

All training sessions being offered are worth 0.75 continuing education units (CEU). Prizes will be given away for attendees at each session.
