Cambridge, Mass. (June 9, 2026) — Scalable Display Technologies, an industry-leading application provider that automatically calibrates images’ alignment, color, intensity and geometry from multiple projectors, will showcase a large-scale immersive projection mapping demonstration at InfoComm 2026, highlighting the latest developments in its Atlas software platform.
Created in recognition of America’s 250th birthday, Scalable’s demonstration will feature a custom-built 3D Mount Rushmore installation showcasing automated projection mapping and calibration across complex geometry. Using dynamic projection-mapped content, Atlas will perform automatic geometric correction, edge blending, color matching and image alignment while maintaining visual consistency across the projection array. Throughout the show, Scalable will intentionally disrupt projector alignment conditions and re-run the calibration process to demonstrate the software’s ability to rapidly restore a seamless image with minimal technical intervention.
“As a U.S.-based company entering our 21st year in business, we wanted this year’s InfoComm demonstration to reflect both a major national milestone and the evolution of our technology,” said James Pietsch, director of global accounts for Scalable Display Technologies. “The Mount Rushmore installation allows us to showcase Atlas operating on complex, large-scale geometry while also recognizing America’s 250th birthday through a uniquely American visual experience.”
Scalable Atlas is the company’s first software platform, developed specifically for automatic 3D projection-mapping applications. While Scalable’s traditional calibration products have primarily focused on high-precision simulation and training environments using defined screen geometries, Atlas expands the company’s capabilities to support projection mapping on virtually any object or surface, including sculptures, architectural facades, themed environments and other complex physical structures.
Unlike traditional projection-mapping workflows, which often rely on manual setup and adjustment, Atlas automatically calculates projector positions in 3D using camera-based calibration. Then, Atlas generates projection warping for each individual projector based on those calculated spatial positions, enabling accurate alignment across complex geometry while significantly reducing commissioning time and manual calibration requirements.
Scalable’s demonstration will spotlight Atlas’ ability to support large-scale immersive environments where maintaining long-term calibration accuracy and image consistency is critical. Atlas is designed to help systems integrators, consultants and technical teams streamline deployment and maintenance workflows while reducing the operational challenges commonly associated with multi-projector installations.
