PALM BEACH, FL—Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA) recently enhanced its college of business with two large dvLED video walls from SNA Displays. The highlight is a 26’6” tall x 31’5” wide lobby display in the Marsha and Vera Lea Rinker Business Hall, the six-story, state-of-the-art home for the university’s Rinker College of Business. Founded in 1968, PBA is a private, nondenominational Christian university in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Audio-visual integrator AV-Worx oversaw the digital upgrade and performed LED installation services.
Rinker Business Hall’s massive LED video wall features a tight 1.9 mm pixel pitch across approximately 835 square feet of digital canvas. Spanning two floors with a resolution of 4,212 x 4,992 pixels, the display serves as a centerpiece for the educational space and a backdrop for school events.
Another key video display upgrade is a theater display in the Titus Lecture Hall, a 300-seat, tiered auditorium designed for large classes, guest lectures, and special campus presentations. The Titus dvLED measures 10’4” tall x 18’4” wide (2,016 x 3,584) and sports an even tighter 1.5 mm pixel pitch. Combined, the new video displays process more than 28 million pixels.
“Higher education is increasingly adopting large-format LED video technology with tight pixel pitches for crystal clear imagery,” said Richard Hill, sales director for SNA Displays. “The utility and versatility of dvLED makes it very nearly a requirement in new designs or renovated spaces at higher education campuses where it is essential to be able to visually communicate a wide variety of material.”
