SoundTube Features NextGen™ Pendant Speakers at InfoComm

Designer Sleeve and Mighty Mite pendants offer versatile looks with high-performance speakers

Lenexa, Kan. – June 7, 2023 – Nearly three decades ago, SoundTube Entertainment revolutionized commercial audio distribution by creating the open ceiling category of pendant speakers. SoundTube’s innovations have impacted the commercial audio industry by drastically improving audio quality, aesthetics, and ease of installation. And at InfoComm 2023 in booth 3009, SoundTube continues this tradition of innovation featuring the patented NextGen pendants.

SoundTube’s NextGen pendants include Designer Sleeve and Mighty Mite. The Designer Sleeve DS31-EZ pendant speakers were developed to offer shape options for closed-ceiling applications that require a design element to meet décor needs. The Designer Sleeve starts with a base speaker that can be covered with either a tapered or cylindrical sleeve. The speakers blend well with drop lighting and are available in silver, black, and white.

The Mighty Mite generates exceptional sound for both music and voice in foreground, background and paging applications. The Mighty Mite produces loud, clean sound from one point of origin. With its built-in subwoofer and full-range reproduction, fewer speakers are needed making projects more economical and reducing installation labor. Its unique driver combination gives unprecedented phase-matched audio between the low, mid, and high frequencies.

All next-generation pendant speakers come equipped with a low insertion-loss transformer for use in 25V, 70.7V and 100V systems. A transformer by-pass position is included on all tap switches making it a breeze to convert speakers for low impedance systems.

“Over the years SoundTube has continued to innovate and create new categories of products that advanced audio distribution and simplify installations,” said Ken Hecht, Vice President of MSE Audio. “The NextGen pendants are a great example. Interior designers are looking for clear precise sound while maintaining the aesthetic features of the space.”
