SoundTube Introduces the Innovative XT850-LED Lighted Speaker System

Creates a harmonious blend of high-quality sound with esthetic lighting

Lenexa, Kan. –– June 5, 2023 —
SoundTube Entertainment®  who revolutionized commercial audio distribution about 30 years ago by creating the open ceiling category of speakers, is excited to unveil the latest innovation in its product line, the XT850-LED, a 2-way outdoor loudspeaker system. This innovative system features integrated LED landscape lighting, creating a harmonious blend of high-quality sound and aesthetic lighting suitable for outdoor environments.

XT850-LED outdoor speaker with lighting The XT850-LED 8”, 2-way speaker distinguishes itself from standard speaker systems with its UV-, scratch-, chlorine-, and weather-resistant features. These professional-grade components ensure its long-lasting performance and durability even in challenging outdoor conditions.

More than just a speaker, the XT850-LED provides full-range background and foreground music capabilities, as well as paging functionalities. Its sealed, in-ground enclosure design delivers an impressive low-end response and optimal off-axis performance. The speaker system also comes equipped with theft-resistant mounting hardware and a weatherproof 5-position tap switch for 25/70.7/100V applications, with a transformer bypass position. An IP55 rating further underscores its resilience in outdoor settings.

The innovative integration of omni-directional LED strips into the speaker’s enclosure creates warm pathway lighting, enhancing the ambiance of outdoor installations. With a 3000K warm-white color temperature, the LEDs are compatible with third-party dimmer switches. Additionally, the XT850-LED can be conveniently powered by a conventional 12V landscape lighting transformer (not included), and multiple XT850-LED units can be run off a single transformer depending on its power capacity.

“The XT850-LED speaker system represents a significant step in SoundTube’s commitment to delivering durable and flexible audio solutions,” says Shannon Humphrey, president of MSE Audio. “With its exceptional sound quality and integrated LED lighting, the XT850-LED offers a convenient upgrade to many outdoor commercial projects.”
