Designer Sleeve pendants offer versatile look with high-performance speakers
Lenexa, Kan. – June 7, 2022 – MSE Audio, parent company of SoundTube, creator of The Original Pendant Speaker™, is excited to announce the release of the Designer Sleeve pendant speakers at InfoComm 2022. The designer-minded commercial audio pendants will ship this summer.
The Designer Sleeve DS31-EZ pendant speakers were developed to offer varying aesthetic options for near space applications that require a design element to meet décor needs. The speaker can be used with or without the sleeve based on the desired look with multiple contemporary slide-on sleeves to match any aesthetic. The speakers blend well with drop lighting and are available in silver (DS31-EZ-SL), black (DS31-EZ-BK), and white (DS31-EZ-WH).
The DS31-EZ is a premium full-range 3-inch pendant-mount speaker with a polypropylene driver and butyl rubber surround for long lasting performance. The DS31-EZ incorporates the ultra-low profile ZeroReflection™ ABS enclosure with a magnetically attached grille with a protective power coated finish. The Designer Sleeve’s IPX6 rating makes it ideal for indoor or outdoor use.

When ordering the Designer Sleeve, buyers receive the base speaker then select either the tapered sleeve or the two-part cylindrical sleeve. With four different appearances available, the DS31-EZ speaker is a rare high-quality audio solution with versatile design options.
The unit may be hung or mounted direct-to-conduit via the locking cover plate. DS31-EZ speakers include a 6-position 25/70/100-Volt tap switch with a transformer bypass 8-ohm setting.
The speaker has a 10-foot signal wire which doubles as the hanging cable, and it also includes a secondary 10-foot braided steel safety cable for added security. The speaker internal body is 7.5”H x 4.5” diameter and weighs 2.4 lbs. The speaker with the tapered sleeve is 8.25”H x 4.75” diameter and weighs 2.8 lbs. The DS31-EZ with the cylindrical sleeve is 8.5”H x 5.5” diameter weighing in at 3.4 lbs.
