TAG to Present Media Control System at MPTS Enhanced with Multi-Award-Winning Technologies
Enrichments bring sharper, more targeted application-specific monitoring for greater insight into signal health and integrity
London, UK – May 8, 2023 – TAG Video Systems, the leader in software-based IP end-to-end monitoring, deep probing, logging, and realtime visualization solutions, has announced that it will exhibit in Stand A32 at The Media Production & Technology Show (MPTS), the UK’s largest event for the broadcast media, production and technology industry. MPTS, which will take place on 10-11 May at the iconic Olympia London Grand Hall, creates a targeted environment for attendees to explore the technological innovations powering content production and output in the UK today.
TAG has disclosed plans to demonstrate its Media Control System (MCS) enhanced with its recently launched Bridge Technology that routes the same stream to diverse locations, and Content Matching – its latest product technology preview that ensures error-free content is delivered in realtime to its intended target. Company executives, including VP of Live Production and Sports Workflows, Robert Erickson, will be on hand to discuss the challenges of live production and how advanced monitoring solutions minimize complexity, keep users ahead of the technology curve, and position businesses for growth.
TAG’s transformational Medial Control System (MCS) serves as a data aggregation engine, system manager and orchestrator that allows media companies and content owners to extract and utilize their own data using an open-source paradigm. At MPTS, the MCS will be demonstrated with Kabana dashboard views integrated with a Redis data pipe and an Elasticsearch database to illustrate how information can be used for forensic or predictive analysis to improve operations. Visitors will also see TAG’s Bridge technology, powered by the MCS, that allows a stream to be ingested once and delivered in any size or format to multiple locations, making it a valuable enhancement for multi-studio live production applications such as news and sports.
The event follows closely on the heels of NAB where TAG’s Content Matching Technology was previewed and received an overwhelming positive response, and took home a Best of Show award. The new technology, will be integrated into TAG’s MCS, to bring sharper, more targeted application-specific monitoring to users, helping them to identify potential issues and confirm signal integrity for increased confidence and a high-quality viewer experience.
“TAG is always listening to our customers, and what better place to do that than at a regional industry event such as MPTS,” said Erickson. “The people that attend these shows know what it takes to succeed on a local level, and we listen to them. We are delighted to share our latest technologies and gain valuable insight from those on the front lines of production every day.”
