TEKVOX has introduced a Decora(r)-style HDBaseT(r) wall plate to meet customer demand for a wall-mountable, multi-format transmission system. It is compatible with the TEKVOX family of HDBaseT(r) receivers and matrix switches and any other component with an HDBaseT(r) receiver input.
The TEK TPHD405PT-WPB is a 2-gang HDBaseT(r) wall-mountable transmitter for HDMI or VGA with audio input selectable. It offers 230-foot (70-meter) transmission for 1080P HD video content with PoC and bi-directional RS-232 pass through. The easy-to-use device supports auto-switching or button panel control between inputs.
TEKVOX previewed the wall plate at InfoComm 2015. “It’s a complete system – easy to power with no muss, no fuss,” says Tekvox CEO Jim Reinhart. “Unlike other manufacturers’ wall plates that are cut out of the wall, ours fits inside standard floor and wall boxes and has sleek Decora(r) styling.” Decora(r) is Leviton’s brand of award-winning designer-styled devices.
The TEK TPHD405PT-WPB has been specially designed to work with TekTouchPad, a simple color touchscreen user interface for easy control of RS-232-type devices. “You can switch inputs with the button panel or control devices from the TekTouchPad,” says Reinhart. “The wall plate can be installed anywhere you need it from a stage to a classroom.”
The new wall plate also features:
•A built-in scaling function with output resolution up to 4K at a shorter
•An extra power supply for the control panel for easy installation
•LEDs for status checking
•USB for firmware updates
•An efficient ventilation design
“We’re confident that customers will find that the TEK TPHD405PT-WPB fills a gap in the market,” says Reinhart. “It’s the solution they’ve been waiting for.”
The wall plate will begin shipping this summer. It has an MSRP of $750.00.
