TEKVOX Introduces Low-Cost Digital Switcher with Multi-view Support

TEKVOX, Inc. announced the release of its TEK 79079 MV41-HD, the most flexible serial-controlled high-definition digital switcher that supports HDMI input switching along with extensive multi-view and side-by-side (SBS) viewing modes in a compact form-factor. The device supports independently controllable input selection, viewing mode, on-screen overlays and audio source via front panel, IR or a reliable but simple RS-232 serial interface.

“We designed the MV41-HD because most Quad Multi-viewer Switchers have issues with RS232 control—maintaining proper aspect ratio and the ability to turn on and off the OSD and video box outline,” Mike Slattery, founder and CTO of TEKVOX, said. “These improvements allow us to use the MV41-HD as part of our Lecture Capture systems, recording multiple cameras and content.”

The MV41-HD has five viewing modes including single, quad and three split modes supporting resolutions up to 1080P@60 Hz and all common audio formats. The audio source is selectable independently from the video source.

Compatible with all TEKVOX control systems and is easily adapted to any third-party control systems, the MV41-HD is a flexible, seamless, economical switcher that support RS-232 serial communications. Integrators and end-users can now more easily handle multiple HD sources within a single display.

The MV41-HD is available immediately from authorized TEKVOX dealers, or from Amazon (link here) with a single unit price of $199. The product is also available in the TEKVOX 71400 series of Drop-In A/V® whole room solutions.
