Tightrope Media Systems to Unveil Cablecast 6.2 Broadcast Automation Software at 2017 NAB Show

New upgrade expands intuitive ‘schedule once, publish everywhere’ workflow to help community stations promote and share their programming across social media

ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA, April 11, 2017Tightrope Media Systems will bring a powerful new version of its Cablecast Broadcast Automation platform to the upcoming 2017 NAB Show. Helping community broadcasters and small television stations leverage new opportunities to engage and expand their audiences, Cablecast version 6.2 features an array of enhancements that enable users to easilyand efficiently promote and share their content online. Tightrope will showcase the new upgrade in booth SL8620 at the event (April 24-27, Las Vegas).

Cablecast’s website integration tools and templates make it fast and easy for users to create video-rich, public-facing sites and automatically publish their program schedules, live streams and VOD clips online.Version 6.2 adds valuefor stations by making their content and schedules easier tofind through search engines, offering a valuable tool for organic audience growth.

Stations can now also gauge their online impact with VOD and streaming metrics. Meanwhile, enhanced social media integration streamlines the publishing of live and on-demand content to stations’ social networking channels, automatically generating embed codes for posting to Facebook and Twitter. Online viewers of the stations programming can also promote via Facebook and Twitter with just one click.

Tightrope will also preview features expected in futureCablecast software releases, including new channel branding capabilities for live video sources that eliminate external keying equipment. Instead, users canleverage lower cost Cablecast Flex servers to key station logo bugs, text crawls and graphics over live video while also playing out pre-recorded content.
