LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – SEPTEMBER 2017:
TransAudio Group, U.S. distributor of the very best studio recording equipment on the planet, chipped in at the Bronze Level to sponsor Zachary Winterfeld (TransAudio Group’s Western Regional Sales Manager) in the “Alive & Running” 5K Walk/Run for Suicide Prevention. The money supports Didi Hirsch’s Suicide Prevention Center, the first and only one of its kind in the nation. Winterfeld ran on Jeff Greenberg’s team, “The Village People,” a nod to The Village recording studio owned by Greenberg. The run will happen on Sunday, September 24th in Los Angeles.
Support for suicide prevention is especially timely given the recent suicides of Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell and Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington. “With these two recent losses of stars that I adore and have worked with, it’s more important than ever to get the word out that there are alternatives and help for anyone considering suicide,” Greenberg said. “Didi Hirsch’s Suicide Prevention Center is the leading anti-suicide organization in America and offers a variety of services including counseling, a hotline, education, and support for survivors.”
“Dismayed by the high rate of suicide among musicians, Mr. Greenberg, showed great leadership by forming a team for this year’s Alive & Running to raise awareness about suicide in the music industry,” said Didi Hirsch’s President/CEO Kita S. Curry, PhD. “It’s wonderful that TransAudio Group and [its president] Brad Lunde joined Jeff’s team and became sponsors of this year’s event. We’re very grateful for their support!”
