Appointments made ahead of May 4 2012 open house and technology showcase
HOUSTON, TEXAS & MOUNTAINSIDE, NEW JERSEY USA / 20 March 2012 / — Verrex, a global design-build integrator and managed services provider of conferencing, collaboration and presentation technologies, has announced that three industry veterans have joined the company’s Southwest USA team based at the company’s Houston office. Darrell Tackett and David Grundy have joined Verrex’s global sales team as Senior Account Executives and Michael Reilly has joined as Project Engineer. All are responsible for delivering the entire suite of Verrex AV design, integration and managed service offerings to the region. The trio joins a team lead by Verrex Southwest Executive Director, Steve Peters.

Darrell Tackett, CTS, joins Verrex as Senior Account Executive with over 20 years of technology solutions experience in Houston’s audiovisual market, serving clients regionally and globally. Most recently Mr. Tackett was Division Design Consultant/Estimator for integrator Ford Audiovisual where he was responsible for new technology evaluation and strategy as well as systems design and estimation. Other career highlights include AV Program Manager/Technical Lead with Devon Energy Corporation, Director of Design, Engineering & Integration with Fowler Productions and Senior Sales Support Engineer with Fairview-AFX. David Grundy also joins Verrex as Senior Account Executive. With over 30 years of industry experience, he specializes in presentation technologies, systems integration, room automation, graphical user interfaces and digital signage. Mr. Grundy joined Verrex from Electra Link where he worked as an Audiovisual Estimator/System Designer responsible for job estimations, system design and project coordination. Other career highlights include Audiovisual Specialist with BMC Software, Director of New Media with Image Source, Technical Operations Manager with A.D. Vision and Chief Engineer/Senior Post Production Editor with Pearlman Productions. Mr. Grundy holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. Michael Reilly joins Verrex as Project Engineer responsible for engineering support including initial systems design drawings, equipment research and ensuring the integrity of Verrex designed systems. He has over 25 years of experience in the audiovisual industry most recently as Engineering Technical Director for Summit Integration Systems. Other career highlights include Systems Integration Group Manager with QCTV, Director of Technical Services with AVTECH and Audio/Visual Maintenance Engineer with TRW. He also spent ten years in the U.S. Army where he worked with Electronic Warfare Strategic Systems. Mr. Reilly holds a degree in Technical Science from Northern Virginia Community College.
