Visix Premieres AxisTV Signage Suite Version 1.25 Digital Signage Software at EDUCAUSE 2019

ATLANTA, GA – October 2, 2019 – Visix, Inc. will exhibit in booth 1019 at the 2019 EDUCAUSE Annual Conference, October 15-16 at McCormick Place West in Chicago. The company will highlight enterprise digital signage solutions for higher education, including content management software, interactive wayfinding and meeting room signs.

“EDUCAUSE is a great venue for us to connect with our largest client base,” says Trey Hicks, Chief Sales Officer for Visix. “We’ve been serving the higher education market for over 15 years, and we’re excited to show off new features for such a wide range of products.”

DIGITAL SIGNAGE SOFTWARE

Visix will premiere version 1.25 of their AxisTV Signage Suite digital signage platform at the show. The enterprise-class platform lets campus communicators create and publish a huge range of messages, media and data feeds to any number of screens. The software uses drag-n-drop widgets to integrate popular data sources like Excel, XML and JSON into screen layouts, and also integrates with popular campus calendar apps like 25Live, Office 365, Google for Education and EMS Platform.

AxisTV Signage Suite is available as software-only, pre-imaged PCs or hosted in the cloud. New tools let administrators sort user accounts into organizations and suborganizations for a hierarchy that matches their own workflows. Users have the option to customize what is shown in the UI, but administrators retain the approval workflows and security parameters needed by universities.

The company will also show their AxisTV Alert application in booth 1019. This stand-alone digital signage platform supports CAP-compliant alert notifications triggered by systems like Alertus and Rave Mobile Safety, and lets campuses push alerts to selected screens or across the entire system.

Version 1.25 builds on a major upgrade to 64-bit in August of this year, along with a host of new widgets and workflows, including the option to publish media files from a network directory. In this new release, all platform applications – AxisTV Manage (CMS), AxisTV Design, AxisTV Engage and AxisTV Alert – have been enhanced for faster importing of media files, cutting upload time in half. An option to preserve aspect ratio is also now offered in media management workflows. This means streamlined processes for anyone importing and scheduling artwork, media files, batches of stills, media directories or fill-in templates.

INTERACTIVE WAYFINDING

In addition to a variety of custom content designs and ready-made templates, booth 1019 will highlight Visix’s award-winning hands-free voice-activated wayfinding, which was named Best Digital Signage Software Product at InfoComm 2019 by rAVe Publications. The technology uses a voice user interface to understand verbal commands and questions, and returns requested results on screen. It can be added to any digital signage touchscreen, and is popular with colleges and universities eager to reduce the transmission of germs.

DIGITAL ROOM SIGNS

Visix will also exhibit their entire room sign line at the event, including Touch meeting room signs powered by their AxisTV Signage Suite software, Connect room signs and EPS signs using E Ink technology. Touch room signs are the most customizable room sign on the market, with configurable design and playback features for both schedule playback and room booking at the screen. Connect interactive room signs are a stand-alone space management solution that not only display room schedules, but offer a host of customization options, room resource tracking and analytics for administrators.

All Visix room signs show schedules from popular campus calendar apps, and come with architectural features like red and green availability lights, PoE power options, mounting kits and custom faceplates.

MEDIA PLAYERS

Visix will spotlight two of their digital signage media players at EDUCAUSE. The four-output player lets clients use two, three or four outputs to drive multi-display clusters and video walls. This small form factor device has enterprise features, and is recommended for anyone who wants to have flexibility in reconfiguring screens or for further expansion of their digital signage system.

The company’s Nano digital signage player is just 2.75 inches square to fit easily behind displays. It is purpose-built for reliable 1080p playback and is recommended for less video-intensive applications.

Attendees who visit the Visix booth can scan their badge to get a “Communicate Better” swag bag with t-shirt, pen and koozie.
