), the leader in planar magnetic technologies, prepares to ship its new award-nominated Sage Series high-end architectural and freestanding speaker systems, the company continues to add key personnel to its roster of industry veterans. Wisdom’s management team will be present at the 2008 CEDIA Expo, held in Denver from Sept. 4-7 at the Colorado Convention Center, booth SR-16.

Since the spring of 2008, Wisdom Audio has appointed Todd Sutherland western regional manager, director of sales operations, and Eric Graul V.P., manufacturing.

“The industry has never seen anything like our new Sage Series before, so it is vital we have the correct team in place…from design to production to sales and distribution…to bring this exciting new product to market,”? explained Mark Glazier, Wisdom Audio president. “Both Todd and Eric have an extensive history within the high-end A/V market and will play integral roles in making our new Sage Series architectural and freestanding speaker systems a success.”?

Sutherland is responsible for serving as the primary sales contact for all dealers in the western region, including support and service issues, as well as participate with other company executives to establish sales-related strategic plans and objectives.

Graul is responsible for inventory management, production scheduling and process control, assembly flow, incoming and outgoing QA, and various managerial duties.

“Todd is an industry veteran with a particular knowledge and appreciation of the needs and expectations of the custom installation dealer,”? Glazier continued. “Jon Herron (Wisdom Audio V.P. – Sales) and I both worked with Todd at Madrigal, and I also worked with Todd at Kaleidescape. Since the three of us already shared a successful professional history, Jon and I knew Todd shared our philosophy regarding the invaluable role of the dealer and their importance to Wisdom’s success in the CI channel.”?

Additional duties Sutherland will be responsible for include prospecting for and appointing key dealers, conducting Wisdom product training for all newly appointed dealers, and establishing and maintaining strong business relationships to promote dealer focus on Wisdom products. Sutherland will also participate with other company executives to establish sales-related strategic plans and objectives, act as the primary administrator for Wisdom’s CRM and assist in building the dealer support (pre-sale) and technical support departments (post-sale).

Most recently with Kaleidescape, Sutherland, who is based in San Mateo, Calif., managed order processing and sales development. During his tenure at Madrigal, he was the company’s western regional sales manager and Revel product manager, northwest regional manager, as well as spending time as the company’s website administrator. Prior to serving with Madrigal, Sutherland worked with Nakamichi Gmbh and Combak Corporation.

“I’ve known Eric [Graul] for years, and working with him in the past I know what a valuable asset he will be for Wisdom Audio,”? said Ed Jaeger, Wisdom Audio CEO & CFO. “His experience with the production of high-end audio components and systems along with his attention to detail will greatly benefit and streamline our internal and external strategies and goals as we bring our new Sage Series to market, and beyond.”?

Prior to joining Wisdom Audio, Graul served as production manager for seven years at BG Corporation (formerly known as Bohlender Graebener). He applied his manufacturing and management experience to efficiently grow the company’s production capabilities. During his tenure with North Sails, a racing sail manufacturer, Graul honed his expertise in production methods and quality control, exceeding the expectations of the company’s high-end distribution partners and customers. Graul has implemented several MRP (Materials Resource Planning) and inventory control systems and together with his extensive knowledge of quality control processes in specialty product manufacturing, will guide Wisdom Audio’s production efforts as the world’s most advanced architectural loudspeaker systems.
