has been selected by the organizers of
ASSEMBLY
, one of the oldest and biggest computer festivals in the world, held every year in Finland since 1992, as its official Flash streaming server software. This year’s summer event will be held from July 31st to August 3rd at the venerable Hartwall-Areena in Helsinki.
Under the terms of the agreement, Wowza will power all live and on-demand online coverage of this year’s and future ASSEMBLY festivals via AssemblyTV, the event’s official broadcast network.

The Assembly events were born from the desire of a couple of young computer enthusiasts to organize a programmers’ convention in Finland, back in 1992. In the past 17 years the demoparty has grown to its current size and has become a highly-respected demo-scene competition – sort of a world championship – for computer programmers and media artists. The four-day computer festival attracts visitors from around the world from over 20 countries.
