Yamaha Expands VX Speaker Line with New Models, Unveils Upgraded System Design Software

BUENA PARK, Calif. (June 11, 2019) — At InfoComm 2019, Yamaha is highlighting new loudspeaker hardware and software, both designed to make system installation safer, easier and more efficient.

InfoComm attendees can see the newest additions to the Yamaha VX Series of loudspeakers, including the latest VXC2F and VXC8S in-ceiling models, and the latest version (3.0) of the Yamaha Commercial Installation Solutions Speaker Calculator (CISSCA) system design software, in Booth 6461 and Demo Room W224D.

Built on the foundations of sound, design and quality, and offering versatile mounting and deployment options, the expanding VX series is divided into three categories: VXC ceiling loudspeakers, VXS surface mount loudspeakers and VXL slimline, column, line array loudspeakers. VX models range from compact full-range units to subwoofers and include a power-over-Ethernet (PoE) VXL enclosure.

The expanding range of VX loudspeakers is currently in use worldwide in hospitality, corporate, education, house of worship and other commercial applications.

The CISSCA software was designed to complement the deployment of VX loudspeakers. Version 3 now provides easy access to an expanded library of in-depth speaker technical data which can be accessed through a new, intuitive user interface. Entry-level or experienced users can choose AUTO or ADVANCED modes, according to their needs. For use with Yamaha VXL loudspeaker systems, the online VXL Selection Assistant is also available to assist with selecting the right model for an application.

“There is no one-size-fits-all approach for system installations, as each project presents its own challenges and unique requirements,” said Phil Sanchez, market development specialist, Yamaha Commercial Audio department. “We designed the VX series to deliver the highest level of installation flexibility and reliability, continually evolving it to meet these changing requirements. With these new enhancements and the updated CISSCA software, installers now have an even more powerful combination of installation tools to deliver optimum audio solutions with minimal visual impact for their clients.”
