ZeeVee’s ZyPer4K-XR To Make US Debut

The ZyPer4k-XR models join the XS models to round out ZeeVee's encoder/decoder offerings at InfoComm 2022

ZeeVee will be at InfoComm 2022 (Booth W523) for its new ruggedized ZyPer4k-XR SDVoE AVoIP encoders and decoders to make their U.S. debut. The models, like their award winning counterparts the ZyPer4k-XS, allow premium performance and reliability to reign in even the most challenging of environments. The new duo feature durable aluminum chasses with Neutrik locking and Switchcraft connectors to guard against the wear and tear of harsh conditions. They also operate at 75% less power than competitive products and are available for quick delivery.

ZeeVee will also feature demonstrations of its intuitive ZyPer Management Platform and new ZyPerPad keypad controller. Art Weeks, director of product management, ZeeVee will co-present an AVIXA training session on June 8 with Doug Whelan, director of systems integration, NMR Events on the AV upgrade to the Westgate Resort & Casino Super Book in Las Vegas. The refreshed system features more than 30,000 square feet of heart-racing action, over 350 seats and a massive 220-foot-by-18-foot 4K Video wall.

“Our expanded line of ZyPer4K encoders and decoders reflect the belief we’ve had since the second half of last year that 2022 will be a strong bounce-back year,” said Bob Michaels, CEO, ZeeVee. “With these cost-effective and power-saving models, which also offer smaller footprints and extra durable build quality, integrators can more easily expand their businesses into the rental and staging, performance arts, luxury yacht and military markets and beyond into a broad range of applications.”

The ZyPer4K-XR and ZyPer4K-XS models allow for the distribution and switching of uncompressed 720p, 1080p HD, Ultra HD and 4K resolution content, audio and control via off-the-shelf 10Gb Ethernet switches. Their IP-based architecture enables the switching from one source to another without any frame loss – even at 4K resolutions. Both units offer a 1GB utility port and USB human interface device class (USB HID) support for devices such as keyboards, mice, game controllers and alphanumeric displays.

The ZyPer4K-XS encoders and decoders offer a smaller footprint and lightweight and durable chasses that enable them to be placed virtually anywhere. They are already widely deployed in numerous applications including the Arizona Cardinals and Oneida Casino Sportsbooks in the U.S., as well as in an investment bank’s headquarters and university in the UK,  the head office of a European pharmaceutical company, the customer experience center of a German automobile manufacturer and the offices and event space of an Austrian steelworks company.

Both the ZyPer4K-XR and XyPer4K-XS include built-in support for energy efficient 10Gbps Power over Ethernet (PoE), enabling the delivery of both data and power on an IP network over ethernet cables. Fanless thermal management keeps the units from overheating without generating distracting sound.

ZyPer Management Platform and ZyPerPad Wall-Mounted Control Panel

The latest version of ZeeVee’s ZyPer Management Platform brings advanced multiview, preset and grid features, along with many other industry leading control features, which offer enhanced functionality and user experience. Designed to control the company’s ZyPer4K (SDVoE, uncompressed 4K, 10 Gbps) and ZyPerUHD (JPEG2000, compressed, 1 Gbps) AVoIP encoders and decoders. An intuitive onscreen interface enables the simple drag and drop creation of multiviews from up to 19 sources and video walls (up to 15 x 15).

The ZyPerPad IP-enabled keypad controller provides a simple means of sending commands to the ZyPer Management Platform. The wall-mounted unit’s browser-based graphical user interface allows installers to easily configure the unit and it supports DHCP and static IP addresses. It also enables individual button configuration via a simple to use web user interface.
