Analog Way announces the Vertige™, a new Remote Control Console designed for Analog Way‘s latest generations of Mixers/Seamless Switchers

April 2014 – Analog Way is pleased to announce the Vertigeâ„¢, a new Remote Console designed to control Analog Way’s LiveCoreâ„¢ and Midraâ„¢ series of Mixers/Seamless Switchers. With a brand new design and an innovative approach to show creation and management, the Vertigeâ„¢ Console will help unleash the full potential of the Switchers controlled.

In addition to the

Web RCS

and

RCSA²

, two intuitive user interfaces designed for the

LiveCoreâ„¢

and

Midraâ„¢

series, the

Vertigeâ„¢

offers a new creative Remote Console for wide single or multi-screen configurations.

An ergonomic Console at the heart of Analog Way’s new generation of Mixers & Seamless Switchers

In order to control its latest and future Mixers & Seamless Switchers,

Analog Way

introduces the

Vertigeâ„¢

Console.

“When conceiving the Vertigeâ„¢ Console, we carefully thought out its design, ergonomics and functionalities to make it capable of controlling a wide range of our Mixers”

, says Franck Facon, Marketing & Communications Director at

Analog Way

.

Version 1.0 of the

Vertigeâ„¢

, compatible with the

LiveCoreâ„¢

series of Premium Presentation Mixers, will start shipping in June 2014. A new firmware version ensuring compatibility with the

Midraâ„¢

-based systems is due in the first semester of 2015. Future developments will also include compatibility of the

Vertigeâ„¢

Console with a selection of

Analog Way

’s legacy Mixers.

Vertigeâ„¢

presents a large operations panel of 510mm depth and 740mm wide (20”x29.2”), showing different sections to set-up and control a show: Source, Layer, Preset, Edit, Control and Transitions. These sections feature direct keys, contextual buttons, sliders, knobs as well as a joystick and T-Bar to operate the Console.

In addition,

Vertigeâ„¢

includes a large 16/9 TFT color touch screen allowing the display of the Program, Preview and content snapshots on the same page. The representation of the whole scene on the touch screen will be particularly valuable when working on multiple layers from different screens simultaneously.

Conceived and built to provide optimal efficiency and simplicity

To easily identify groups of sources, layers and presets, contextual buttons are available. Users can assign a name and a color to each button, thus helping structuring the elements of a show. They can also be organized in different pages and be easily recalled when needed.

Layers can be selected and edited using a joystick, coders or a keypad. Contextual buttons are available here to provide access to shortcuts and other tools.

Motorized sliders can be assigned to screens through contextual buttons. The sliders can be used for effects like a T-Bar, or in an Alpha mode for keying. A large T-Bar allows simultaneous action on all sliders.

In addition, libraries of effects and borders will be included in the

Vertigeâ„¢

. Operators will have the opportunity to personalize and complete these libraries and even export them if needed.

To ensure optimum efficiency,

Vertigeâ„¢

is based on “screen” management: each Mixer’s output can be managed independently and considered as one screen. Operators can quickly organize and manage their screens as wanted. For example, a layer can be changed simultaneously on all screens within seconds. Advanced combinations can be performed and saved for later use.

Safe and flexible utilization

When setting-up the

Vertigeâ„¢

, different user profiles can be created – Administrator, User, etc. – ensuring different levels of access and permissions.

To secure show creation and provide higher flexibility, the

Vertigeâ„¢

Controller allows the recording and export of a show at different levels of its programming.

“With its innovative features and philosophy, the Vertigeâ„¢ Console perfectly supplements our Mixers and Switchers as it provides fast and advanced capabilities to show creation and management”

, concludes Facon.
