LONG BEACH, CALIF.  – JVC Visual Systems, a division of JVCKENWOOD USA Corporation, today announced it has expanded its partnership with Control4, a leading provider of personalized automation and control solutions. By integrating Control4 Simple Device Discovery Protocol (SDDP) software into its new Reference Series and Procision Series projectors, JVC is now “Control4 Certified” for easier installation within Control4-based automation systems.

Six JVC projectors are SDDP-enabled: the Procision Series DLA-X950R, DLA-X750R, and DLA-X550R, as well as the Reference Series DLA-RS600, DLA-RS500, and DLA-RS400. Designed for custom installations and featuring increased brightness and other improvements, the new D-ILA projectors will be available in November. JVC will demonstrate the new SDDP functionality during CEDIA EXPO 2015, which runs through Oct. 17 in Dallas.

Developed for home and business, the Control4 Smart Home platform automatically detects and adds SDDP-enabled devices to its platform, which significantly reduces installation time. “JVC was already an AV partner with Control4, and we are proud to add our company to the list of SDDP partners,” said Gary Klasmeier, product engineering manager, D-ILA Systems, JVC Visual Systems. “Our products are now ‘automation ready’ and easily integrated into any Control4 connected system.”

“We are very pleased to expand our relationship with JVC,” said Noel Gouff, senior director of business development, Control4. “Our SDDP software was designed to make integration seamless for connected homes and businesses. Our customers appreciate that ‘Control4 Certified’ products can be easily added to their automated home or office, and we’re excited to add JVC projectors to our electronic ecosystem.”
