DVIGear’s DisplayNet™ Wins Fifth Best of Show Award

List of Accolades for AV-over-10GbE Technology Grows

Marietta, Georgia, USA  –  March 8, 2016  –  DVIGear, a leading manufacturer of digital connectivity products, has announced it received a Best of Show Award at ISE 2016 from New Bay Media’s Installation Magazine for DisplayNet™, the company’s new AV-over-10GbE signal distribution platform.  This marks the fifth Best of Show Award garnered by the innovative product line.

DisplayNet™:  AV Connectivity – Redefined

DisplayNet™ is an award-winning new concept for AV distribution that leverages proven 10GbE Ethernet technology to switch, extend and distribute uncompressed AV signals in real time with resolutions up to 4K (UHD).  DisplayNet™ delivers unprecedented levels of scalability, versatility and reliability with zero frame latency, zero compression and zero artifacts.  The system size is limited only by the number of installed endpoints and size (ports) of the 10GbE switch.  DisplayNet™ supports a wide array of applications including Point-to-Point Extension and complex Matrix Switching, as well as Video Wall and MultiViewer* displays.

DisplayNet™ Wins Fifth Best of Show Award

DVIGear exhibited DisplayNet™ at the recent ISE 2016 tradeshow in Amsterdam, NL.  Installation, a leading AV magazine in the EMEA market, recognized DisplayNet™ at ISE 2016 with a Best of Show Award.  The judge noted, “A true award winner.  This is cost effective, functional AV distribution that resides on the IT network providing great control and scalability.”

“We are excited to receive the Best of Show Award from Installation at the recent ISE show in Amsterdam,” said Steven Barlow, President of DVIGear.  “This award stands as another milestone of the growing awareness that DisplayNet™ is truly disruptive technology thanks to its ability to leverage the power of AV-over-10GbE for our customers.”

DisplayNet™ was also given an ISE 2016 Best of Show Award from AV Technology, a USA-based magazine.  These two recent awards bring the total number of Best of Show Awards to five.  At InfoComm 2015, the product line was recognized with three Best of Show awards from AV Technology, Sound & Video Contractor, and rAVe Publications.

DN-100 Series Shipping Now

The DN-100 Series is the first in the expanding line of DisplayNet™ AV-over-10GbE products.  The DN-100TX transmitter accepts multiple signals such as HDMI (with embedded audio and HDCP), analog stereo audio, bidirectional IR, RS-232, and 1GbE Ethernet and transmits them via a 10GbE link up to 328 ft. (100 meters) using a single CAT6a or CAT7 cable.  This link is then distributed via an off-the-shelf 10GbE network switch to receiver units, which provide AV output signals at the destination.

The DN-100 Series supports uncompressed video up to 4K /30p (4:4:4) and 4K /60p (4:2:0) without compression artifacts and without frame latency.  Video signals may be simultaneously routed in Point-to-Point, Matrix Switching and Video Wall modes all in the same system.  For more flexibility, each signal type (Video, Audio, IR, RS-232, etc.) can be routed independently.  Other advanced features such as audio embedding and de-embedding are also supported.  The DN-100 Series includes powerful DisplayNet Manager™ software and external API Server that enables the system to be managed using third-party controllers.  The DisplayNet™ DN-100 Series transmitters and receivers are available now for immediate delivery starting at $995 (USD) MSRP per end point.  More DisplayNet™ products are planned for launch in Q2.2016.
