InfoComm (Booth #3201), ORLANDO
- HARMAN Professional Solutions, the global leader in audio, video, lighting and control systems, including networked AV, today unveiled the AMX N2315 Networked AV Wallplate Encoder, an AV encoder that installs in any standard US 2-gang box and distributes up to 4K resolution video over gigabit networks with imperceptible latency.
The N2315 joins the AMX N2300 Series of 4K video over IP solutions, adding design flexibility to the cost-effective lineup. The new encoder gives educators and presenters convenient access to HDMI, VGA, and audio inputs right from the lectern, floor box, or wall, making it easier than ever to present stunning high-resolution content in classroom settings.
“Universities need cost-effective and easy-to-deploy Networked AV solutions that enable the delivery of excellent results with minimal setup time,” said Andy Whitehead, General Manager Networked AV, HARMAN Professional Solutions. “The AMX N2300 Series has quickly become a leading AV choice for universities, and the new AMX N2315 Wallplate Encoder brings even greater flexibility to classrooms and lecture halls. Educators can now plug their laptops directly into the
and achieve exceptional results in seconds.”
The N2315 encoder offers the outstanding encoding capabilities of the stand-alone N2312 Encoder in a 2-gang
form-factor. The new compact design allows educational institutions to customize their Networked AV deployment and integrate AV inputs directly in the wall, floor, or even podiums and lecterns. The N2315 is PoE powered, which greatly simplifies installation requirements, and a single category cable powers the encoder and transports audio and video information across the network.
The N2300 Series, including the new N2315 Networked AV Wallplate Encoder, supports the latest 4K sources and displays with HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 technologies on board. Each encoder and decoder
a motion-based wavelet codec to deliver ultra-high-definition video to displays with near-imperceptible latency, so educators can give stunning presentations without distracting lag. In addition, with built-in KVM functionality, universities can install presentation computers in a central location, easing the IT support burden.
The series is also easy to set up, requiring just a single encoder at the source and decoder at the display to effectively network AV. Customers can deploy a single encoder/decoder solution using existing infrastructure and grow to
distribution models with the same versatile product line.
The N2315 Networked AV Wallplate Encoder fits perfectly in most commercial installations, and is available in black and white:
• NMX-ENC-N2315-WP-BL N2300 Series 4K UHD Video over IP Wallplate Encoder in black
• NMX-ENC-N2315-WP-WH N2300 Series 4K UHD Video over IP Wallplate Encoder in white
The N2315 Networked AV Wallplate Encoder will be available fall 2017.
