JVC Receives 2017 TV Technology Product Innovation Award for ProHD Command Center

WAYNE, NJ – JVC Professional Video, a division of JVCKENWOOD USA Corporation, today announced it has received the 2017 TV Technology Product Innovation Award for its ProHD Command Center, a server based monitoring station for GPS-enabled resources. Designed to monitor and track all JVC ProHD Bridge units and IP-enabled cameras in the field, the Command Center provides a full-screen, real-time map of all GPS-enabled resources, including live video feeds.

Through its secure internet connection, the Command Center allows operators to monitor signal strength, S/N ratio, error correction status, and more. Users also have full control over JVC’s KY-PZ100 PTZ cameras in the field, and can adjust detailed parameters for handheld and shoulder-mount models.

With its one-click routing, the Command Center can send live images to master control, websites, and social media platforms. The secure internet connection allows the user to add metadata to any field camera recording, and provides an optional interface with newsroom systems. Plus, integrated IFB control and monitoring lets the user communicate with any camera operator.

“We are very proud to be recognized by TV Technology for our new ProHD Command Center,” said Joe D’Amico, vice president, Broadcast Division, JVC Professional Video. “Broadcasters can keep track of all their IP-based assets in the field in real time. With the Command Center’s full-screen map, you can see where your cameras are and track where they’ve been. Plus, you can communicate with your camera operator and even monitor and control cameras in the field right from your control room.”

Now celebrating its fifth anniversary, NewBay’s Product Innovation Award recognizes excellence in products for the professional video and radio/online audio industries. Winners are selected by a panel of professional users. Evaluation criteria include concept and design innovation, creative use of technology, and price value.
