PESA Awarded New GSA Contract, Continues Long-Term Support of U.S. Federal Agencies

Huntsville, Alabama –

PESA, a leading designer and manufacturer of professional audio and

video distribution

solutions, today announced it has been awarded a new GSA Contract, effective Aug. 1. It is the company’s second GSA Contract (the first remained active for 20 years), and the latest award will continue to enable PESA to service the U.S. Department of Defense, NASA and other federal agencies.

Awarded by the U.S. General Services Administration under its Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) Program, GSA Schedule Contracts are long-term indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) agreements. They are designed to streamline acquisition procedures for federal agencies and expedite the delivery of goods using a list of prequalified vendors and contractors.

PESA (Contract Award GS-03F-062BA) is listed under Schedule 58: Professional Audio/Video, Telemetry/Tracking, Recording/Reproducing, and Signal Data Solutions. Through the program, its products are available on GSA Advantage, an online shopping site for government agencies, and are eligible for Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) and Contractor Team Arrangements (CTAs).

“We believe the GSA MAS program is an important vehicle to make our products readily available to authorized GSA customers,” said Col. John T. Wright (Retired), PESA senior vice president, sales and business development. “PESA’s new GSA Contract is further validation of our long-term support to U.S. government agencies, and we look forward to providing more of the finest video distribution systems for command and control and a variety of other mission critical environments.”

Last month, PESA announced the DoD approved upgrades to its Video Distribution System (VDS) after initially receiving full certification in January 2013. PESA was the first company to achieve listing as a VDS on the Department of Defense Unified Capabilities (UC) Approved Products List (APL), which is the only listing of such equipment approved by the DoD to be fielded in DoD networks. The APL is managed by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), and the upgraded products received Interoperability Certification (IOC) and Information Assurance (IA) accreditation from DISA’s Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC).
