Sierra Video Adds Reverse Matrix™ Switchers to Sierra Pro XL™ Routing Switcher Family

New Configurations for Destinations with Smaller Number of Inputs, Larger Number of Outputs

Sierra Video, a leading provider of high-quality video and audio equipment for the broadcast, government, and professional video marketplaces, today announced the addition of Reverse Matrix switchers to its Sierra Pro XL routing switcher family. Reverse Matrix switchers accommodate those applications that have a small number of inputs (sources) and a larger number of outputs (destinations). These switchers are ideal for hospitality industry applications such as sports bars, hotels, convention centers as well as educational environments and digital signage.

The Sierra Pro XL Reverse Matrix routing switchers are available as 3-wire or 5-wire routing switchers in 8×16 or 16×32 configurations. The 3-wire Reverse Matrix switcher is ideal for customers employing wideband analog HD signal sources such as HD satellite, cable TV HD receiver boxes, or DVD or Blu-ray devices as sources. The 5-wire Reverse Matrix switcher can handle high bandwidth VGA signals from computers or DVI output devices. Stereo audio and redundant power supply options are available with each of these frames.

The Reverse Matrix switchers offer all of the advanced features in the Sierra Pro XL routing switcher family, including Matrix Mapping Universal Breakaway Switching, Video Follow Sync Switching, room grouping and adjustable audio gain and attenuation. A front panel control interface with LCD display and Sierra Video’s TyLinx Pro user interface make Sierra Pro XL routing switchers extremely easy to configure and operate. All models are equipped with an RJ-45 connector for IP control over your LAN or WAN and offer RS-232 serial interface supported by all major third party control systems.

The Sierra Pro XL Reverse Matrix routing switchers are currently available from the Sierra Video and Kramer Electronics worldwide reseller networks. Additional product information is available at
