Columbia, MD — The FCC repack remains a top priority for many members of the Texas Association of Broadcasters, and premier transmitter, test and measurement and studio equipment manufacturer Rohde & Schwarz USA will offer repack guidance and solutions at TAB 2017, the group’s annual convention and trade show, next month in Austin.
Approximately 1,000 television stations across the country are required to transition to new channel assignments as a result of the FCC repack, which cleared UHF channels 38‑51 to make room for wireless broadband. The process will be conducted in 10 phases with staggered completion dates over the next several years.
