Orlando, FL -- June 12, 2017 -- Seymour-Screen Excellence has provided ten of its high contrast, 16K ambient light-rejecting film screens for Vivitek Corporation to use at its InfoComm 2017 booth (#4443). Positioned about 10-feet off the floor are Seymour’s Ambient-Visionaire Black 1.2 screens onto which Vivitek is projecting data and movie content from its newest projectors.
Filters out 90% of Ambient Light
The critically-acclaimed Ambient Visionaire Black 1.2 surface was chosen for a reason: it has a high-contrast deep black background that absorbs 90% of ambient light from any direction, producing a 12x improvement in contrast ratios in environments that are otherwise unsuited to front projection use -- even outdoors -- therefore the demonstrations underneath the harsh, bright ceiling lights of the convention center are expected to be exceptional.
Unique Approach Eliminates typical ALR Problems; Achieves 16K Resolution
The Ambient-Visionaire surface is also unique in that it is comprised of billions of nano-mirrors, dithered at the desired viewing angle, and layered so that side light from any direction will be absorbed by carbon particles and the substrate. This approach solves the problems that traditionally plague ambient light-rejecting (ALR) screens, namely hot-spotting, ringing and sparkling. By shrinking the reflective elements down to less than 1/10th the smallest size visible by the human eye, Seymour has created a screen that cannot create a discrete sparkle. The approach also enables the Ambient-Visionaire to achieve a resolution of 16K.
Demo Deals on the Ambient-Visionaire
Local dealers can take advantage of great demo deals on the screens, which include widths of 100-, 110- and 130-inches wide. Dealers should see Ed Gurr of Vivitek or Sammy Garber of Higher-Fidelity Sales (Seymour-Screen Excellence Florida Rep) at the Vivitek booth #4443.
