Member Benefits: More than 270 members work toward universal product interoperability to make it easier for end-users, integrators, consultants, and manufacturers to take advantage of the possibilities offered by network video technology. Three levels of engagement—User, Contributing, and Full—are available, and each member receives one vote in the democratic decision-making process.
Networking and Learning Opportunity: A members-only meeting is held in September or October each year. Check here for dates and location of the 2011 event.

The Open Network Video Interface Forum (ONVIF) is a nonprofit organization founded in 2008 by Axis Communications, Bosch Security Systems, and Sony to standardize communication between network devices for the security market. Its mission is to facilitate the integration of network security and safety devices using a global open standard. Membership is open to manufacturers, software developers, consultants, system integrators, and end-users. Besides the founding companies, the organization’s 17 full members include Alhua Technology, Canon, Cisco, HikVision, Honeywell, IDIS, IndigoVision, LG Electronics, March Networks, Panasonic, Pelco, Samsung, Siemens, and Texas Instruments.
