AMX Certification Embraces Association Courses

AMX announced that it will apply CEDIA, InfoComm, and NSCA courses to its ACE certification maintenance plan.

AMX, a Richardson, Texas-based manufacturer of technology management solutions, announced that it will apply CEDIA, InfoComm, and NSCA courses to its ACE certification maintenance plan. The program is designed to provide individuals and companies with special credit and recognition for completing predetermined courses offered by AMX University, the company’s world-wide training organization.

“Many of the courses offered by CEDIA, InfoComm, and NSCA provide valuable, complementary skills that are not taught by AMX, such as rack building and project management,” said Michael Peveler, AMX vice president of corporate development. “As a company, it is in AMX’s best interest to encourage the development of proficiencies that will make our customers even more effective and successful in the field. While CEDIA, InfoComm, and NSCA have been applying AMX University course credits toward their certifications for some time, AMX is proud to be the first company in our peer group to reciprocate.”

Once a person receives ACE certification, they must complete 10 continuing education units per year to maintain certification. Seven of the units must be completed within the AMX framework, while the remaining three may now be earned through select CEDIA University, InfoComm Academy, and/or NSCA University programs.
