Atlas Sound introduced an IP-based control system called ControlKom that works with the company’s line of IP-compliant loudspeakers for immediate, dependable, easy-to-use campus messaging, according to the company.

ControlKom offers IP-based paging-system control with Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) compatibility, which allows it to integrate with any pre-existing phone system. Users can simultaneously send an audio stream and/or text message to IP loudspeakers, computer screens, and overhead paging systems quickly, easily, and confidently at reduced operation costs.

Clock and bell-tone scheduling for any loudspeaker/clock group within a ControlKom network permits separate schedules for an individual building, floor, or other defined area. Live or prerecorded messages can be broadcast to an unlimited number of IP-enabled devices as well as other sources of visual and audible communication within a system.

Users can control costs with the ControlKom system while increasing manageability by using the secure Web-accessed interface for system programming and configuring. Integral IP loudspeakers are available in multiple versions, including rugged models for the outdoors and various indoor classroom models. Some come with an integrated five-character LED display as well as an internal talkback microphone.
