BitWise Launches Community Program
Inspired by President Obama’s call for Americans to invest in rebuilding the country’s economy and infrastructure, BitWise Controls executives announced the company has introduced a new community program.
Inspired by President Obama’s call for Americans to invest in rebuilding the country’s economy and infrastructure, BitWise Controls executives announced the company has introduced a new community program.
Each month during 2009, BitWise will donate $1,000 worth of control products to worthy projects within the custom-install community as a way to improve the facilities for charity organizations, schools, and military personnel. Installers working on such projects can apply to BitWise Controls to be selected for a month’s grant of free product. Successful installations will be featured on the BitWise Web site to offer inspiration for others.
“We’re extremely happy and proud to be able [to] contribute to America’s program of rebuilding and community service,” said Lance Beck, CEO of BitWise Controls, in a statement. “Using American technology and know-how is vital to building a stronger future for us all.”
The BitWise Controls BC4 modular system, for example, offers a range of control and monitoring functions and can be used to extend the capabilities of many popular existing control systems, or act as a standalone controller, says the company.
“We designed the BC4 range with a flexible approach to its functionality,” said Mark Buster, CTO of BitWise Controls. “As installers ourselves, we wanted to be able to provide and extend control systems without the cost and proprietary nature of many traditional products, which limits what can be done and who can afford it.”
BitWise Controls intends to find novel solutions and noteworthy projects to publicize, providing technical knowledge and inspiration to help the industry recover from the current economic hurdles. Installers interested in receiving the free products for their project can apply at the BitWise Controls Web site.
