“Continuing education and networking is vital in a down economy, especially when there are fewer trade shows and other events to bring us together as an industry,” said Sam Taylor, president of Electrograph Systems, in a statement. “Our focus for the DTE 2009 program is on the commercial and residential business essentials–digital signage, retrofit installations, and ways to prosper in both markets during tough times.”

The event will commence with an opening session by Gary Kayye called “The Five Things You Need to Do to Thrive in ’09” (1.25 NSCA LU value, 0.5 CEDIA CEU value).

More than 40 manufacturers are expected to exhibit in the product showcase, which will include plasma and LCD flat-panel displays, home cinema projectors, touch panels, mounts and stands, touch overlays, speakers, video processors, amplifiers and receivers, wire and cable, video interfaces, and more. Some manufacturers scheduled to sponsor and hold exhibit spaces include NEC, Samsung, LG Electronics, and Panasonic.
