The GMP-500 headset adaptor is one of several new adaptors released by Hosa Technology for use in airplanes. It features a 2.5 mm female TRS to 3.5 mm male TRS configuration. The GMP-500 allows users to connect a headset to small audio devices, such as cell phones, iPods, and BlackBerries, as well as the headphone jack found on most late-model aircraft. In cases of older airline models that still require individual right- and left-channel headphone plugs, Hosa offers the YMM-492 air travel headphone adaptor. Hosa’s GMP-471 has the opposite configuration of the GMP-500 and the GMP-467 has a right-angle design for additional interface solutions.
