NEC Display Solutions of America has introduced a family of commercial-grade digital signage displays with a new mechanical design, comprehensive input panels, and robust functionality, says the company.

The MultiSync 15 series offers commercial-level features and functions, such as advanced thermal technology to prevent overheating, for continuous operation in demanding environments. The series includes the 32-inch LCD3215 and the 42-inch LCD4215 for use as digital signage in retail and restaurant markets, in addition to indoor venues, training facilities, and corporate boardrooms, among others. Each comes with 1366 x 768 resolution, 500 cd/m2 brightness, and an 800:1 contrast ratio. The displays also include DVI with HDCP, advanced multi-level thermal control, and up to 4×4 TileMatrix capabilities. They’re also touch- and protective-panel ready.

“The MultiSync 15 series is a commercial-grade solution designed for organizations that want a more affordable system than higher-end NEC digital signage displays, such as the MultiSync 20 series, but still desire commercial features and function,” said Jean McLaughlin, senior product line manager for NEC, in a statement. “We have achieved a competitive price point closer to a consumer-grade product but with the critical design elements required for a successful digital signage implementation.”

MultiSync 15 displays come with a three-year limited parts and labor warranty. The LCD3215 is scheduled to be available in September for an estimated retail price of $1,199, while the LCD4215 should be available in October for an estimated $1,699.
