NEC Projector Targets Education, Corporate Markets
NEC Display Solutions of America is specifically targeting its VT800 digital network-ready projector toward education and corporate settings.
NEC Display Solutions of America, provider of commercial and residential LCD and plasma displays and projectors, is specifically targeting its VT800 digital network-ready projector toward education and corporate settings, company officials said.
The VT800 is the latest addition to the company’s VT projector series and features closed captioning for decoding and displaying text in videos, and a comprehensive input/output panel with built-in AV switching. Network functions include remote diagnostics that enable monitoring and control of the projector over a network, and Image Express UtilityT for sending data and video over a network.
“The VT800 projector offers features necessary to educators and corporate users,” said Bob Guentner, product manager for NEC Display Solutions. “This extremely bright portable projector captures audience attention in classrooms and meeting rooms, and can be easily managed over the network, saving the IT department time and money.”
Image-enhancing features on the VT800 include HQVT (Hollywood Quality Video) technology, Advanced AccuBlendT, and automatic keystone correction for correction of vertical distortions when the projector is set up at an angle to the screen. Other features include 2700 lumens, XGA native resolution, 500:1 contrast ratio, up to 3,000 lamp-life hours, and ECO ModeT technology.
The VT800 will be available in April 2008 at an estimated price of $999.
