Shure announced that Mark Humrichouser has been promoted to general manager of its U.S. business unit, while Dallas-based Highway Marketing was chosen to represent the company in the mid and south central United States.

In his new role, Humrichouser will have day-to-day responsibility for the management of the sales, marketing, customer service, and applications engineering functions for the U.S.

Jim Schanz

“Mark has done an outstanding job of directing our U.S. sales team for the past three years,” said Al Hershner, vice president of Shure’s Asia and U.S. business units, in a statement. “I’m confident that he will continue to apply his talent and experience to the broader role of coordinating all of our U.S. business unit departments in his new leadership role.”

Abby Kaplan

In addition to Humrichouser’s promotion, Jim Schanz was promoted to director of U.S. field sales, and Abby Kaplan was promoted to senior manager of national accounts. Schanz will be responsible for managing all of Shure’s U.S. territory sales activities. Kaplan will oversee all activities related to the company’s designated national accounts, including national music instrument retail chains, consumer electronics big-box retail chains, and specialty channel dealers.

Highway Marketing will be responsible for sales of the complete Shure line of professional audio products to retailers and systems contractors in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas.

“Scott Baker, Steve Simmons, and the entire staff at Highway Marketing bring several decades of combined experience and proven success in our industry to our team of independent sales reps,” said Schanz. “They have a thorough understanding of our constantly evolving industry from the perspective of dealers and manufacturers.”
