Videre Conferencing, a provider of integrated, HD videoconferencing, AV, and networked solutions, entered an agreement with VBrick Systems, a provider of online streaming video, in which Videre will resell VBrick’s suite of enterprise video systems as part of its videoconferencing solutions and service offerings.

According to Videre, the partnership has already proven successful. Educational institutions such as Greater Lowell Technical High School in Lowell, Mass., and Smith College of Northampton, Mass., have begun to implement the offering. Videre Conferencing also includes VBrick products and services under its existing Massachusetts State Contract partnership.

“Selecting VBrick and Videre as our providers was an easy choice as their partnership allowed us to implement best-in-classroom video services,” said Michael Barton, director of media and professional development at Greater Lowell Technical High School, in a statement. “Establishing a viable VBrick system for our students is a key part of curriculum. With the help of VBrick and Videre, we were able to launch our system as well as seamlessly integrate a solution that could also accommodate all of our needs.”

Lowell Technical High School used VBrick and Videre’s products to implement a cable TV solution that allows the school to stream, record, and store live cable television distribution over their data network for playback and educational use throughout the year. The school also uses the technology for videoconferencing, channel guide information, and scheduling live and on-demand broadcasts.

“From the start, our partnership with VBrick has been a win/win situation for us, as many of our customers are taking their HD videoconferencing solutions to the next level-requiring digital capture and distribution of their videoconferencing content,” said William Benoit, co-founder of Videre Conferencing, in a statement. “Our customers in the local government and education sectors have been particularly focused on gaining this capability.”

“We are very pleased to align ourselves with a leader in customized HD videoconferencing,” said Vince Graziani, CEO of VBrick Systems. “Leveraging our combined expertise, we will be at the forefront of bringing enterprises a complete end-to-end video solution.”
