Almo to Distribute Christie MicroTiles
Almo Professional A/V announced it has been named the exclusive national distributor for Christie MicroTiles.
Almo Professional A/V announced it has been named the exclusive national distributor for Christie MicroTiles. The MicroTiles, along with technical and installation training for the product, will be available from Almo Pro A/V beginning March 1. The distributor said it will show MicroTiles in a live digital signage application next week during Digital Signage Expo 2011 in Las Vegas.
"We have a growing number of partners who are using videowalls for large-scale digital signage installations so Christie MicroTiles are ideal due to their high brightness and ability to capture an audience's attention," said Sam Taylor, executive vice president and COO for Almo Professional A/V, in a statement. "Because installing Christie MicroTiles requires training, we will offer our partners an ongoing combination of educational opportunities so they can learn the best techniques and have the greatest potential for success with this product."
Almo officials said its partners will require authorization in order to purchase and sell Christie MicroTiles.
"We needed a distributor that could do more than just provide the product," said Mitchell Rosenberg, director of sales at Christie Visual Environments, in a statement. "We are confident that installers and integrators who purchase from Almo will receive the proper training and technical assistance necessary to make the most of their large screen applications."
Almo also offers Christie's pro AV line of projection systems, which are designed for use in rental and staging, meeting rooms, conference rooms, houses of worship, auditoriums, broadcast studios, large and small audience events, retail advertising, and other applications. Some of the projection systems available through Almo include the Christie Roadie HD+35K with 32,500 ANSI (35,000 center) lumens with a motorized lens mount, and the Christie M Series, which is suited to partners entering the three-chip DLP market and looking for 16:9 performance, company officials said.
