Audiovisual distributor Almo Professional A/V said it has become the only pro AV distributor authorized to sell new Furman BlueBolt remote power and energy monitoring products. The technology provides cloud-based power and energy management functionality to select Furman power management products and gives integrators and installers the opportunity to create new business opportunities and revenue streams beyond traditional AV hardware sales.

“With the BlueBolt products, our partners can now offer a distinct line of profitable services that aren’t available from any other distributor in the professional AV channel,” said Sam Taylor, executive vice president and COO for Almo Professional A/V, in a statement. “Our entire sales team is BlueBolt-certified so that we can provide consultation on how to incorporate this technology into new and existing commercial applications where Furman power management is being used.”

The Furman BlueBolt products provide secure, hosted IP power management and energy monitoring for AV systems. Features include remote power cycling to hard-reboot components from any Web browser or Web-enabled mobile device, product-specific control so multiple products and installations can be accessed through a single log-in, energy monitoring in real-time or over a period of time, and environmentally-conscious features such energy budget alerts to allow users to proactively manage energy consumption.

Almo said the Furman BlueBolt products will be shown during Almo Professional A/V’s E4 AV Tour, which will resume in Washington, D.C., on November 10 and continue in New York City on December 15.
