Hitachi Rolls Out 3LCD Projector
Hitachi America’s Business Solutions Group introduced the new CP-X2511 3LCD projector. With a brightness of 2,700 lumens and a 2,000:1 contrast ratio, the CP-X2511 is well suited for medium-sized classrooms and boardrooms, according to the company.

The CP-X2511 offers XGA resolution and a variety of maintenance features, including a hybrid filter, which requires less frequent cleaning for longer operation. Additionally, the lamp door is on the top, while the filter cover slides in and out from the front bottom of the projector, easing the maintenance and replacement of parts.
The projector features 16W of built-in audio and an audio pass-through function that can output audio in while standby mode, allowing audiences to listen to external loudspeakers via the projector’s audio output. According to the company, the power-saving mode reduces the standby mode power consumption to 0.5W. The CP-X2511 also features a lamp life of 3,000 hours in standard mode and 6,000 hours in cco mode.
An input-source naming function allows a user to change the name of the projector’s input source to the name of a device, such as “desktop PC” or “DVD player,” instead of default names. Also, when projecting onto a whiteboard or blackboard, the CP-X2511’s template function projects lines to make it easier to write on the board. Four types of lines are available: black lines on a white background, black lines on a white grid, white lines on a black background, or white lines on a black grid. Closed captioning is also available.
The CP-X2511 is equipped with a security bar that allows the attachment of a security chain. The MyScreen function can be used to identify the owner and is also protect by a PIN lock. A transition detector also prevents unauthorized use of the projector.
