IOGear Unveils Wireless HD Kit
IOGear unveiled its new Wireless HD Kit (GWAV8141K), designed to provide a solution for digital home entertainment centers and offer installers the ability to reduce long cable runs and avoid drilling holes to complete a job.

According to the company, the new solution allows installers to customize living spaces and offer the ability to wirelessly transmit signals from Blu-ray/DVD players, DVR/set-top boxes, VHS players, and media servers/home theater PCs to HDTVs or projectors.
The Wireless HD Kit is capable of streaming full HD 1080p 60 Hz video and audio content up to 100 feet away to a display within the home or other setup location, says the company. It also offers an RJ-45 LAN port for larger jobs that may require spanning distances greater than 100 feet via Cat-5e or Cat-6 cables. Several configurations are available.
IOGear’s Wireless HD transmitter provides the ability to broadcast its own integrated Wi-Fi signal with less latency and without needing an additional wireless router so the content can be streamed to four Wireless HD Receivers. According to the company, this simplifies the process of installing multiroom or multidisplay environments and provides the freedom of additional displays in less common areas in the home or business.
“The Wireless HD Kit helps maximize profitability for the installer by cutting down on time-consuming tasks and at the same time giving them the ability to offer their customer a more seamless digital home solution,” said Miranda Su, executive vice president of IOGear, in a statement.
The IOGear Wireless HD Kit is currently available with at an MSRP of $900.
